In every great story, there is an insight that marks the beginning of a new journey. For us at Esposit, it all began with Simone Saglietti, the fourth generation of a family of carpenters. Before 2012, our work focused exclusively on custom-made furniture. Then came the spark: the idea of an industrial product, something that could be sold independently, that did not require complete customisation.
The inspiration came from a customer with an interlocking display, a simple but revolutionary concept. We asked ourselves: why not create our own display line with these characteristics?
The craft revolution: the union of tradition and technology
We began experimenting, starting with a rough prototype but full of potential. Over time, we perfected every single aspect: materials, shapes, cuts and joints, until we reached the excellence that characterises our products today.
We realised that the market for interlocking wooden displays was still untapped. So, in 2012, we invested in our first numerically controlled (CNC) machines, adopting Nesting technology to optimise materials and reduce waste. It was a radical transition, forcing us to trust the machines while maintaining our craftsmanship approach.
This is the heart of our methodindustrialised process, but with attention to detail. CNC technology guarantees precision and speed, while the human touch and double quality control (from production to packaging) ensure that each piece is flawless.
